I never said they did. Although I hope they do, because it is.

Well if you don't have the youths in place then you have to buy. I've never ever disputed that.

"I am saying that ideally it is the best way to refresh a squad "

and YET NOT ONE CLUB DOES IT.........

Why?

Yep it may be the cheapest option but cheapest is rarely best.

V. The implucation in your post is there are a number of young players coming through in all squads making the mark. That is the implication. All clubs have youth set ups but that's not refreshing the squad.
In general most would believe that the youth systems of prem clubs is helping championship clubs. Not really refreshing the squads of all but a few premier league clubs.
Southampton and Spurs are obvious exceptions at this moment.

Hahahahahahahahaha

What have I invented? NOTHING

Do West Ham United see the best way of refreshing their squad is by promoting young players?

NO

They see it like everyone else and that's buying experience as the best way.

As I say SIMPLE Stuff

And I have never disputed that. At any point. It's another straw man argument that you made up.

I said that all prem clubs use youth development. I am saying that ideally it is the best way to refresh a squad (mainly because it's the cheapest).

"using young players is the best form of refreshing the squad."

Seems crystal clear to me and the others that have commented on this thread.

It doesn't need twisting.

NO team refreshes it squad with youth/young players and that's why you can't name one.

Simple stuff

Re: Summer signings to take us to the next level
Why is it undeniably true, most clubs buy established players, clubs like us and Southampton etc have a mixed policy of youth and established players, there's not one Prem club unless I'm mistaken that has an exclusive or majority youth promotion to their match day squad

>>> "using young players is the best form of refreshing the squad."

What is not true about that? It is undoubtedly true.

If any club has the choice between a player who would cost them millions in transfer fees and wages, and a player of the same ability coming through the ranks, they would in all cases be better to use the player they have developed. It's absolutely the simplest logic.

The straw man argument is that by acknowledging that obvious truth I am somehow saying that is all clubs ever do (or ever should do). Of course it isn't. I'm not saying that at all. That's a made up extreme invented to disrupt a discussion.

It's just the usual twisting of phrases that I use to try and argue against something I never said in the first place. It's tedious and happens here all the time. If you are really that stupid to continually misunderstand, then please in future ask for clarification of what I am saying. Then these tedious, pointless arguments that people dream up against me can be avoided.

I just had a look at their squad and unless I'm missing someone, the only academy player is Iheanacho ?

You brought up Man City ALEX V

How many players in their last matchday squad come from their academy?

Considering it teams find it their best way of refeshing their matchday squads.
